About Me

My name is Helen Vella-Basilone, thank you for checking out my site, I recently got married which I thought I would never do again but what do they say – never say never-

I grew up with a lot of anxiety and stress in my life because my childhood was very unpredictable, this was due to the abuse going on in our household. This worry and stress carried on into my adult life and I found myself with stomach issues and gall bladder issues.   All through stress, worry, and anxiety.
I have always looked for the holistic approach in my life and did lots of research for different methods, foods, remedies, and cures.
I have been a Holistic Life and Health & Wellness Coach, Author, and speaker for quite a number of years and enjoy sharing my personal experiences, knowledge, and guidance with others.  I love empowering and learning from the young and wise.

Meditation is something that has always been around, and I’ve recently seen quite a few websites focusing on it. What can you tell me about your opinions of meditation? How long is typical for one to meditate in one “sitting” you might say? And do you try to completely clear your mind of thoughts about this world and your problems, or just what do you think about when meditating?

If you are new to meditation it helps to follow a guided meditation. That will enable you to get the idea and then you meditate the way it works for you. Different people do it in different ways so best to find out your style. There are plenty of guided meditations on Youtube you might like.

Very informative Post on Managing Anxiety and stress. It’s very helpful. Not to mention, the books you have offered, not too highly priced for those highly needing a way to manage said conditions.
